Canberra office management team

Bill Allen Associate Director

Bill joined ACNielsen's Canberra office in 2004 from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), where he held a number of senior positions including Assistant Director of Demography (in charge of population estimates, projections and the monthly Overseas Arrivals and Departures Survey), Director of the Statistical Consultancy and Training Section, Director of the Household Survey Methodology Section and as an outposted officer with the Department of Education, Science and Training and the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations. During his tenure with the ABS, Bill also introduced the ABS data quality framework which was supported by a two day training course he developed that has now been presented to over 300 ABS staff.  

Bill brings a range of quantitative skills including statistical survey consultation and design to his client projects. He is also a highly experienced project manager and his ACNielsen client projects have included the ACT Visitor Satisfaction Survey and Queensland Outback Survey for Tourism Research Australia, the Business Perceptions and Communications Tracking surveys for the Australian Tax Office and the Exercise, Recreation and Sports Survey for the Australian Sports Commission.

Bill has called Canberra home for over 15 years. He regards the city as a great place to bring up his growing family.

Janet Campbell Associate Director

Janet recently moved to Canberra from Brisbane to join ACNielsen's Canberra-based Public Enterprise team. She has more than 15 years' experience working in market research and marketing strategy.  

Prior to joining ACNielsen, Janet was a marketing consultant specialising in the public and non-profit sectors and also lectured in marketing for the MBA programs of both the University of Queensland and the Queensland University of Technology. Her earlier roles included Executive Director of Adelaide City Marketing and a senior marketing role with Brisbane City Council's Department of Recreation and Health.

Janet is enjoying her new life in the national capital, making regular visits to the National Gallery and other major attractions, cycling around the lake and looking forward to her first hot air balloon flight over the city.
